The Republicans of Cecil and the Cecil Young Republicans have launched an informative website to help inform Cecil County residents on issues related to county spending and taxes. http://cecilcountyspending.com/

This website is here to give you, the Cecil County resident, the tools to make a difference. If you can’t make it to one of the budget hearings, its ok. This website will provide you with all the details, good and bad, about how the Cecil County Commissioners are spending your hard earned money.

The one thing we can and should all agree on is that the government spends to much of our hard earned money, and when they spend–they spend inefficiently. It’s time to shine a bright light on that spending, and start holding them accountable on how they spend our money.

I’ll quote my good friend Ted Patterson:

Let’s take hold of our future. We are uniquely placed in a region where our economic, social, and environmental assets are in high demand. Our people are motivated, hard working individuals who are committed to community.

We need tax reductions that will grow small business and create jobs. We need school choice because there is no one size fits all approach to educating our children. We need freedom from excessive government regulation so that our private sector can flourish and prosper. We need incentive-based solutions to environmental problems to conserve our natural resources for the generations to come.

This is the year we tell our County Commissioners and the folks in Annapolis that Cecil County will no longer tolerate unaccountable spending of our hard earned dollars. Today we put a stop to huge projects of low importance being paid for during one of the toughest economies of our times.
