Please Cut Taxes in 2010

From Josue Sierra, published today in the Cecil Whig:

I would like to, once again, make a call for the county government to cut taxes during the upcoming budget cycle. I was very disappointed to see that all the county commissioners voted for a tax increase last year, especially considering that three of them are Republican, a party based on fiscal conservative principles of government.
The 2010 budget cycle is the perfect opportunity for our county commissioners to demonstrate their commitment to helping the residents of Cecil County and to supporting our local small businesses with a tax cut. Now is not the time to fund special projects and non-essential “luxuries.”

Everyday families like mine are cutting budgets and reducing spending to make ends meet. The county should do so as well.

Great piece Josue. I hope we can get our elected officials to help the citizens this year and stop spending.
