Teen Political Activism

When I express my political views and opinions, I often hear people say, “You’re too young to worry about politics.” or “Your opinion doesn’t matter because you can’t vote.” I’m here to tell you that statements like such are absolutely ridiculous. It is your duty as American citizens and as a member of the GOP to educate our future generation of voters, on the traditional Republican values that we all stand strongly upon. My generation is the future generation of the Republican Party and we need to be respected with the same magnitude of respect as we give all generations of Republicans.

Even though we cannot vote, we are still capable of accomplishing great feats and loosening the hold that the Liberals have on this country. I ask you, what would accomplish more, personally contributing one vote for Republican values, or my fellow TARS and I spreading the knowledge of Republican values to the next wave of voters? We just multiplied our own vote that we could have contributed by hundreds or maybe even thousands. Teens can make just as big of an impact as everyone else, but they can’t do so if they aren’t educated in the Republican values. In order for the next generation to stand strong, they need the nourishment and attention of the older generations so that they have great footsteps to follow in.

The Republican Party is in a recession, if you will, and the party will not prosper without the support of the future generations. Let’s face it, today, young people like myself, find liberal views to be so much more appealing and quite frankly, the views are considered “cool” these days. We need to get the future generation to think differently so that the traditional Republican values will not die with the times and will prevent the Republican Party from being full of members who are as liberal as their Democratic counter parts. Now is the time more than ever to stand strong as Republicans to refute liberal views and allow people to realize the validity of Republican values.

I would like to see the Republican Party prosper and that is why I have been working along side the Cecil County Republican club to create the Cecil County Teenage Republican. The club is quite new and I would like you all to tell all the teenagers you know about it. I want the TARS to become a political factor in the community and I want the TARS to produce and educate the next wave of Republican voters.
